  • Perinatal Mental Health Therapy

    Individual therapy for new (and returning) parents. My focus is on supporting all new parents (birthing AND non-birthing parents, LGBTQ parents and adoptive parents). Insurance billing and sliding scale pricing available, as well as both in-person and telehealth options. My therapeutic framework is rooted in Dialetical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment-based approaches, and polyvagal theory.

FAQs

  • No! Not everyone will be diagnosed with postpartum depression or other diagnoses after welcoming a child. It is still a tremendously difficult time and I encourage you to seek support at any time on your journey.

  • While I don’t provide couples counseling to start, sometimes challenges arise through our work together and it makes sense to meet with your partner. I do offer individual perinatal MH therapy to non-birthing partners. (You don’t have to give birth to develop postpartum depression! About 10% of non-birthing partners will experience depression after welcoming a new child).

  • This is something I am very passionate about. There are 3 ways I ensure inclusivity in my work: a) using neutral language whenever possible (i.e. birthing person, parent, chest feeding, etc.) b) encouraging support for ALL parents (not just birthing parents or “mothers”) c) continuing to learn and stay up-to-date on inclusive practices.
